How much does it cost?
Each service page shows a starting price where we have one. The total depends on your details and on government fees, which change from time to time. After you apply, we review your details and send a quote that shows our fee and the agency fees separately. Nothing is filed until you approve it.
How long does company registration take?
Once we have your details and IDs, a private limited company is usually registered within 5 to 10 working days. A business name is usually faster. CAC sets the pace, and we will tell you as soon as anything holds it up.
Should I register a business name or a company?
A business name suits a sole trader or small partnership that wants to trade under a brand. A limited company is a separate legal person, protects the owners’ personal assets and is what investors, banks and larger clients expect. If you are unsure, book a consultation and we will advise.
Do I need to come to your office or to CAC?
No. Everything is done online. You send details and documents through your account, and we deal with the agencies. If an agency ever needs an original document or a signature, we will tell you exactly what and why.
What documents will I need?
Each service page lists what we need. For most registrations it is a valid ID for each director or owner (NIN slip, international passport, driver’s licence or voter’s card), contact details and an address. You can start an application and upload documents later.
How do I follow my application?
You apply from your free Legalize It account, so every application is there when you sign in. There you can see the current stage, read updates from your lawyer, reply, and download documents. We also email you whenever the status changes.
Can you help a foreign company set up in Nigeria?
Yes. We handle incorporation, NIPC registration, business permits and expatriate quotas. Start with the foreign-owned company service and we will plan the full sequence with you.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. We only use your details to provide the service you asked for and to file with the relevant agency. Documents are stored privately and only you and our team can see them. Our privacy notice explains this in full.
