How it works

You tell us what you need once. From there, a lawyer handles the paperwork and the agency, and you can see exactly where things stand.

  1. 1

    Choose the service

Browse the services and pick what you need. Each page explains what is involved, what you will receive and what we need from you. If you are not sure, book a consultation and a lawyer will point you to the right one.

    • Every service lists the agency and the usual time it takes.
    • You can apply for more than one thing at a time.
  2. 2

    Fill in the application

Each service has its own short form. Proposed names, directors, the goods your trademark covers: only what that filing needs. Upload IDs and documents now, or send them later from your account.

    • Takes about ten minutes for most services.
    • You apply from your free account, so you can track it straight away.
  3. 3

    Review and quote

A lawyer reads your application, checks it against the agency’s requirements, and sends you a quote. Our fee and government fees are listed separately. If something is missing or could cause a rejection, we tell you before anything is filed.

    • Nothing is filed until you approve the quote.
    • Questions are answered in your account or by email.
  4. 4

    We prepare and file

We draft the resolutions, forms and supporting documents, and file them with the agency. Then we follow up, answer the agency’s queries and keep pushing until there is a decision.

    • You get an email every time the status changes.
    • If the agency needs something from you, the application is marked “Action needed” and we tell you exactly what.
  5. 5

    Receive your documents

Certificates, status reports and filed documents are added to your account as soon as they are issued. You can download them at any time, and we keep a copy.

    • Some services, such as annual returns, come back every year. We remind you before the deadline.

What each status means.

This is what you will see on your application, and in the emails we send when it changes.
